Cub Scout Camp
This week I'm volunteering to help at cub scout camp. This should be interesting. Hubby drove to the park after church so I wouldn't get lost.

I'm hoping I don't get too lost on the grounds. Made sure son took allergy meds a few nights to help with the whole pollen thing. Then I read last night that the site has fire ants. Holy crap!
Welcome to the outdoors and tons of boys aged eight to ten. If anything I'm going to see what I'll learn, meaning it might end up in a future novel.
Ok, now need to get ready. Taking #70 sunscreen this time. Just in case.

Seriously, I hope you have a great time, whatever that means in this situation. :)

I forgot about that gross tub of water; it got really bad sometimes, too. I can definitely tell Bryce helped work on that flag today!
Oh, and abt. the fire ants; in the 2-3 years I've been going, I've never once come across one. In Houston I got bit by them all the time, but never here in CA. Just be careful, and you'll be fine.
And yeah, the porta potties aren't fabulous because the ground is pretty much not level. But if you go in a "restroom," you have to have a crazy ratio of adults w/ kids to be sure nothing "bad" might happen. So porta potties are quick, you can just stand outside while 5-8 boys go at once, each in a different porta potty.
